DRY EYE SPA

Dry eyes, also known as ocular surface disease, is a chronic and progressive condition that is frequently caused by a cycle of ocular inflammation. Often traditional, at-home treatments can be cumbersome and ineffective, leading to worsening symptoms over time with minimal relief. We offer customized treatment plans using the most up-to-date technology and equipment in our state-of-the-art dry eye spa.

THERAPEUTIC LID SCRUBS

Our eyelashes are home to microscopic mites called demodex. While we all have these mites, some of us have an overabundance of them causing eyelash dandruff and chronic dry, irritated eyes, also known as blepharitis. We recommend a tea tree oil based lid scrub regimen to reduce the frequency of these mites and improve overall symptoms. Our customized treatment plan starts with a concentrated, in office eye lid scrub and exfoliation to give you a good foundation for at home maintenance. This is also beneficial for lash extensions to preserve optimum ocular hygiene.

GLAND EXPRESSION

Our eyelids house important and delicate glands called the meibomian glands. These glands release an oil that keeps our eyes and tear film healthy every time we blink. With frequent screen use, our blink rate is drastically reduced, causing less healthy oil to enter our tear film and atrophy of the muscles responsible for this release. Long term effects of this phenomenon can lead to blocked glands and permanent loss of these important glands. At late stages of meibomian gland dysfunction, these glands will need to be manually expressed in order to facilitate the production of healthy oils and reduce the symptoms of dry eyes over time.

INTENSE PULSE LIGHT (IPL)

IPL is the latest and greatest in dry eye treatment. It works by eliminating new and old vascular growth caused by inflammation and effectively stops this debilitating inflammatory cycle. IPL is also used to treat eyelid styes, blepharitis, ocular and facial rosacea, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and age spots among many others. This is a minimally invasive treatment with little to no down time and is all done in an average of four 30-minute treatments. Unlike aesthetic only clinics, we can safely and effectively treat conditions in and around the eyes, leaving you looking and feeling your best. Request a consultation today!
